あなたのお仕事はなんですか？また、これまでのキャリアについて教えてください。

I work as a finance controller for AIGLE and Tecnifibre and support on some tasks for Lacoste. The job basically consists of checking accuracy of the financial data in the systems, reporting monthly actual results, creating budget and forecasts, and carrying out various financial analysis (budget vs actual, cost optimizations, profitability simulations…)
Working for Lacoste Japan is my second job, I also worked in Saint Gobain Japan as a financial controller from 2018 to early 2021.

エーグルとテクニファイバーのコントローラーとして働き、ラコステのいくつかの業務もサポートをしています。基本的には、システム内の財務データの正確性をチェックし、毎月の実績を報告し、予算と予測を作成し、様々な財務分析（予算対実績、コストの最適化、収益性のシミュレーション...）を行うことが仕事です。
ラコステジャパンは2社目で、前職でもコントローラーとして働いていました。

ラコステジャパンを選んだ理由を教えてください。

I chose Lacoste Japan as my employer because I had always wanted to work in the retail industry. But had not had the chance yet, since my previous experiences so far had been in automotive industry. Being French I knew the brand very well and was proud to be able to represent it and make it grow in Japan, the country I had chose to live.

ラコステジャパンを選んだのは、小売業界で働きたいと考えていたからです。しかしこれまでの経験は自動車業界でしたので、なかなかチャンスがありませんでした。
フランス人である私は、ラコステというブランドを熟知しており、自分が選んだ日本で、このブランドを代表し、成長させることができることに誇りを感じています。

仕事をする上で嬉しかったエピソードと、チャレンジだったエピソードを教えてください。

The happiest memory I have so far from my experience here is the warm welcome I received from the company once I joined and after I came back from maternity leave. The different teams I worked with made sure I felt immediately like I belonged and helped me make it as easy as possible to handle a newborn baby and a fairly new job.
The biggest challenge I had to deal with was working in a totally new industry. I was used to heavy industry and automotive industry’s business models, and it took some time to understand the retail industry, what KPI were the most important to track and what analysis would be the most insightful. I overcame this challenge by taking time to study data, talk with the team to learn from them and listen carefully to feedback on the analysis I would suggest.

この会社で最も幸せな思い出は、入社時と産休後に会社から受けたあたたかい歓迎です。一緒に働く様々なチームが、私がすぐに自分の居場所だと感じられるように、生まれたばかりの赤ちゃんの育児をできるように、新しい仕事をできるだけ簡単にこなせるようにサポートしてくれました。
私が直面した最大の問題は、まったく新しい業界で働くことでした。重工業や自動車産業のビジネスモデルに慣れていた私は、小売業界を理解し、どのKPIを追跡することが最も重要で、どのような分析が最も洞察に繋がるかを理解するのに時間がかかりました。この課題を克服するために、私は時間をかけてデータを調査し、チームと話し合って彼らから学び、私が提案した分析に対するフィードバックに注意深く耳を傾けるようにしました。

As an ambitious person who wants to have a good career, I recommend this place of work. There is a lot to do and management is always keen to hear any new idea and happy to give feedback to help guide us towards best direction. Even at first, I was not assigned many tasks, and yet I managed to find points of improvement in my department, was offered opportunity to share it with management and recognized for the benefit I provided.
As a mother of 2 young children under 3 years old, I also recommend this place of work as they give you flexibility on the schedule which allows you to manage a good work-life balance.
